Main TASKS and DUTIES:
- Conducting an efficient transport planning on a daily base
- Communicating with customers and suppliers on a daily basis on the progress of orders and possible issues.
- Resolving operational issues during the transport such as delays in transport and special requests.
- Processing planning information in the transport management systems.
- Processing orders in the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Analyzing transport requirements and customer needs.
- Planning optimal routes based on distance, traffic, and delivery deadlines.
- Selecting appropriate transportation modes based on cost and capacity.
- Optimizing load capacity and minimizing empty miles for efficient resource utilization.
- Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and customs requirements.
- Monitoring and tracking shipments in real-time, addressing any issues or delays.
- Conducting cost analyses, budgeting, and evaluating transportation expenses.
- Collaborating and communicating with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Administrational or logistics education
- More than 3 years experience in logistics or transport
- Professional communication
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Fluent in English and Dutch, any other European language is a plus
