Thanks to your leadership, everything within the VAL department will run smoothly. Your team will handle and process specific customer orders. You'll directly manage 35 operators, alongside another team leader. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to improving processes, making them more efficient and cost-effective. You'll regularly tackle questions like: "How can we save costs, and what benefits will that bring to the company?"

You will be operationally responsible for the well-being and performance of your team. Teams perform best when all business aspects are well organized. This means you'll focus on daily coaching of employees, work planning, absenteeism management, budgets, facility issues, safety, and other operational tasks.

At Bausch + Lomb, you'll be supported in every way, but it's up to you to proactively get things moving, initiate processes, and ensure proper execution. The best part? You'll work with many different aspects of the company and make a direct impact through the products you deliver.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily management of 35 operators, motivating, coaching, and training them.
  • Being responsible for daily Key Performance Indicators and using them to achieve the daily output.
  • Developing process flows for optimal efficiency (LEAN program).
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations (Health, Safety, and Environment).
  • Being an active member of the Emergency Response Team (BHV).




Job Requirements

You are someone who works meticulously and is always one step ahead due to your proactive approach. With your problem-solving skills, you simplify and make processes more efficient. Additionally, you are a natural leader who people listen to, and you navigate well in a multicultural environment.

You also bring the following:

  • MBO working and thinking level.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a production or logistics environment.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) is a plus.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English (company language) and Dutch.
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. You are also willing to occasionally work on weekends.




Salary and Benefits
