• Maintain and manage the environmental, health, and safety systems and procedures to meet legal, customer, and company requirements.
• Conduct EHS risk assessments and legal compliance audits, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
• Analyze EHS data, such as risk assessments, near misses, and accidents, and provide reports to senior management.
• Investigate EHS incidents, maintain records, and ensure close-out actions align with company standards.
• Lead EHS meetings, presenting data, recording action points, and tracking progress.
• Evaluate and assess training activities related to EHS procedures.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve workplace safety and reduce risks from daily activities.
• Conduct internal EHS audits, workplace inspections, and safety tours at the required intervals.
• Develop and maintain documented health and safety procedures.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and response, including coordination of the site BHV organization.
• Manage the EHS management system, using data analysis tools to communicate performance and drive improvement.
• Provide guidance and advice on EHS best practices to supervisors, managers, and employees.
• Implement and review policies and procedures related to EHS.
• Work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure health and safety compliance in Standard Work Instructions (SWI).
• Establish and maintain the site’s EHS plan, ensuring compliance and preparation for future goals.
• Maintain the legal register and ensure full compliance with regulations.
• Manage and maintain the RI&E (Risk Inventory and Evaluation) and communicate results to management.

• Bachelor’s or medium degree in safety science (HVK/ISM or MVK).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of Dutch labor laws and machine directives.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Certified in internal auditing (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Risk assessment and incident investigation training required.
