As a Production Engineer, your primary focus will be to ensure the successful introduction of new products in our pilot factory. This involves reviewing designs, participating in FMEA processes, and validating production processes during pilot phases. You will optimize production processes, troubleshoot and resolve issues to facilitate seamless transition to volume production. Additionally, you will support upgrades and refurbishments of our systems by conducting audits and preparing machine-specific work plans.

• Identify structural issues and contribute insights to product development projects to anticipate production issues early in the design phase and enhance cost-effectiveness.
• Execute test sequences on every first pilot system.
• Analyze production processes within the pilot factory, identify structural problems and bottlenecks, propose improvements, and collaborate closely with Development, Operations, System Install, and Supply Chain Engineering to implement them.
• Expedite the resolution of complex faults by taking initiative and making practical decisions as needed.
• Coordinate material quality improvements for new parts.
• Define execution plans for refurbishment systems based on audit findings.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics, or equivalent.
• Preferably 3 years of experience in a high-tech production environment, ideally in both assembly and test environments.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is advantageous.
• Experience in Technical Production Engineering and familiarity with quality methodologies such as statistical process control and FMEA is a plus.
• Knowledge of high vacuum technology and/or high voltage systems is preferred.
• Proactive mindset with a hands-on approach, committed to safety and quality.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
• Team player with broad technical and business acumen.
• Proficiency in English.
