About the vacancy:

Are you passionate about logistics and love figuring out ways to make things run better? We're looking for a hands-on, process-oriented leader to join our new Decision Support Center (DSC). In this role, you'll work closely with site managers across our network of automated warehouses, helping them improve day-to-day operations by sharing insights, coaching, and solving problems together.

NewCold is a leader in automated cold storage, focused on delivering smarter, more sustainable solutions for our clients. The DSC team will play a key role in making sure our sites run smoothly and efficiently, empowering teams on the ground with the support and knowledge they need.

What will you do?

  • Coaching & Support: Build strong relationships with site managers and their teams. You'll guide them through challenges and help them reach their operational goals-not by giving orders but by being a supportive partner.
  • Influence Without Authority: Use your logistics know-how and process insights to make a difference. Help teams identify areas for improvement and drive change by showing, not telling.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Work alongside site teams to tackle issues like bottlenecks, workflow inefficiencies, or technical hiccups. Your goal is to make lasting improvements that make their jobs easier.
  • Continuous Improvement: Inspire site teams to keep getting better. You'll guide them on fine-tuning Warehouse Management System (WMS) settings, material flows, and processes so operations run like a well-oiled machine.
  • Building Trust: Earn the trust of local teams by providing tailored support and insights that matter to them. Your success will depend on building strong, reliable connections across locations.
  • Sharing Operational Insights: Keep an eye on key metrics-like pallet throughput, crane availability, and inbound/outbound flows-and share clear, actionable insights that teams can use to improve.
  • On-Site & Remote Support: Take part in site reviews, helping teams evaluate core processes and adopt best practices. You'll act as a bridge, connecting teams with solutions and successes from other locations.

Who are we looking for?

You have:

  • A genuine passion for logistics and process improvement.
  • Strong coaching skills and a knack for building trust and collaboration across different teams.
  • Ability to lead and influence without direct authority, guiding teams with data and relationship-building.
  • Clear communication skills that can inspire and motivate site managers to make improvements.
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, or operational support roles.
  • Familiarity with automated warehouse systems (WMS, MFCS, ASRS) is a plus, but not required.
  • A problem-solving mindset that combines empathy with technical know-how.
  • Speaking/writing fluent in the English, any other European language is a plus
  • Preferred Experience:
    Experience leading, coaching, or advising in logistics or warehouse settings.
    Background in logistics, supply chain, or automated warehouse operations.
    Success in building trust and managing support remotely.
