Are you ready to take the first step toward a management career in hospitality? At Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam North Riverside, we're seeking an ambitious and service-oriented Management Trainee to join our Front Office team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to blend hands-on operational experience with leadership development, preparing you to take on managerial responsibilities in the future. Located along the picturesque IJ River, our hotel is one of the largest Holiday Inn Express properties in Europe, with 438 modern rooms. As a Management Trainee, you will assist in managing daily operations while contributing to the seamless guest experience we pride ourselves on. Your role will empower you to lead, innovate, and make an impact on both guests and colleagues.

Job Requirements
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee front desk operations, ensuring smooth and efficient check-in and check-out processes in line with brand standards.
  • Support the Front Office Manager in supervising and mentoring team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Assist with handling guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests, providing personalized solutions.
  • Maximize room occupancy and revenue through effective up-selling techniques and promoting hotel services and facilities.
  • Contribute to team scheduling, operational planning, and workflow optimization.
  • Analyze guest feedback to identify opportunities for service improvements and implement action plans.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Be proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented, with a passion for creating positive guest experiences.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both guests and colleagues.

  • Think creatively and out of the box to deliver unique and memorable guest experiences.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Currently pursuing an MBO/HBO degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Affinity for hotels and hospitality, with an eagerness to grow into a leadership role.
  • Fluency in English (Dutch proficiency is an advantage).
  • Eligibility to work in the EU/EEA or enrollment in a Dutch institution, as visas, permits, and sponsorships are not provided.
