Responsibilities:  

  • Provide technical assistance and support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment including PCs, laptops, printers, smartboards, and mobile devices.
  • Manage and support user devices (Windows, MacOS) including updates and configurations.
  • Support our IT Operations Specialist in maintaining and overseeing the school’s network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, servers, and security systems.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions for school systems.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff and students on using technology effectively.
  • Monitor and respond to IT support requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure iPad and laptop carts, as well as classroom docks, are properly maintained and organized.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational technology trends and recommend improvements.

Requirements: 

  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field such as HBO Applied Computer Science.
  • Proven experience in IT support, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Chromebook operating systems.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and JAMF environments.
  • Ability to deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop and mobile.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices, GDPR compliance, and data protection policies.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A proactive and customer-service-oriented approach when assisting users.
