FunctieomschrijvingIn this pivotal sales role, you will provide both strategic and tactical leadership for your assigned region or group of customers, primarily focusing on high-level distributors within the EU-Africa region. You will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales growth targets through existing distributors and key retailers, ensuring the execution of annual sales programs and promoting the product range. You will manage customer relationships at all levels, and contribute to business development through new channels while continuously overseeing existing customers.
As the International Key Account Manager, you will work within the PDCA cycle methodology, relying on data to support all sales decisions. This includes regularly collecting and analyzing customer stock and sell-through information to drive profitable growth and ensure effective implementation of sell-through activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned product lines and regional sales channels across the EU-Africa region.
- Manage key customer relationships across all levels within the customer organization, building strong, long-term partnerships.
- Identify and capitalize on new business development opportunities through strategic market expansion and thorough analysis of potential new channels.
- Lead the planning, execution, and maintenance of sales forecasts by country, account, and SKU to ensure accurate targeting.
- Collaborate with sales administration, product marketing, and marketing communications to create promotional sales materials and initiatives.
- Maintain regular contact with key customers and distributors to drive sales growth, introduce new products, and resolve any issues.
- Conduct market visits to ensure the smooth execution of sales plans and to build a deep understanding of the market dynamics and customer needs.
- Implement company policies at assigned in-country distributors and develop action plans to address any operational challenges.
- Participate in trade events to build brand presence and stay updated on market trends and competitor activities.
- Provide insights on product and market trends, gather feedback on packaging and service requirements, and track competitors to recommend improvements.
Functie-eisenTo succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of experience, leadership skills, and a customer-focused mindset. We are looking for a highly skilled professional with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Business or a related field from an accredited college/university.
- 5-10 years of B2B2C sales experience with physical goods, ideally within the Consumer Electronics or Electric Mobility industry.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Key Account Manager, with a proven track record of success.
- Experience in e-commerce is a plus.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Leadership and management skills with the ability to guide and support both external customers and internal teams.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and coaching skills.
- Ability to interact with both external and internal customers at all levels and across different cultures.
- Detail-oriented with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Full English proficiency, plus at least one additional major European language.
- Willingness to travel internationally within the EU-Africa region, potentially up to 25% of the time.
- Flexibility to work outside office hours when required.
- Strong sales ability, persuasiveness, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Adaptability, with a hands-on mentality and the ability to work as a team player.
- A positive, optimistic attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit and corporate discipline.
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter, with effective planning and organizational skills.
