The challenge as International Account Manager / Salesmanager

Thanks to our rapid growth, we’re ready for our next step – and that’s where you come in.

We currently operate with 15 employees across three companies, and your focus will be on our core business: Sodaflexx. Up until now, sales have been handled by Sander (our founder and CEO), but as the company grows, his focus is shifting towards strategy, product development, and overall leadership. We’re looking for someone who can take over and lead our international sales efforts.

 

This role might sound like a typical sales position on paper – but it’s not. You’ll be representing innovative, sustainable solutions that help the maritime industry reduce its environmental footprint. Our offering includes:

  • Exhaust gas cleaning systems
  • Bulk handling & transfer solutions
  • Processing technologies
  • And most recently: hydrogen-powered innovations

In fact, we’re currently building the world’s first hydrogen-powered vessel of its kind.

 

Your Role

You will be responsible for growing our international customer base, with a strong focus on new business (approx. 80%). Expect to travel up to 50% of your time, mainly to Southern Europe (Greece, Cyprus, Turkey – shipping companies) and the Baltic States (cruise ferry operators). Over the past three years, we’ve already mapped the market extensively – it’s now up to you to seize the opportunities.

 

You’ll also:

  • Coach and support inside sales in developing into a strong commercial professional
  • Set up and manage a network of international sales agents – and visit customers with them

When we look back in 10 to 15 years, we want to say: this was the decade of our breakthrough – with 30% annual growth, driven by sustainable tech and people like you. If you help us achieve that, we’ll consider you a success.

Functie-eisen

Who are you?

You bring:

  • A few years of sales experience in a technical or maritime-related environment
  • Enough technical understanding to sell complex solutions to engineers and procurement professionals
  • A proactive personality – someone who sees opportunities and takes initiative
  • Fluent English; other languages are a bonus
  • Willingness to travel and build strong international relationships

 

Of course, we do have some practical requirements

  1. Proven sales experience
  2. Proficiency in the German language
  3. Live nearby our office in Zoeterwoude
