Selva, a new Latin American restaurant is to set open its doors this summer. Located on the 24th floor of the iconic design hotel nhow Amsterdam RAI, Selva is another name for the Amazon, "the lungs of the earth"
Inspired by nature and natural elements, the interior of the restaurant is inspired by the colors, textures and patterns of the Amazon rainforest. Selva is characterized by organic shapes that 'flow' through the restaurant and the rivers of the Amazon basin. With an abundance of plants and earthy tones, the place feels lavish and vibrant.
Selva's menu is a journey of discovery through the diverse and tasteful cuisines of Latin America, with dishes inspired by flavors from Mexico, Peru and Brazil, among others. Guests can expect a range of different dishes from ceviche to grilled meats and seafood. The open kitchen and the visible charcoal grill enriches the flavors of the dishes and creates a memorable dining experience.
In addition to Selva, the new cocktail bar will also open in the same room on the top floor of the hotel and is named as Sonora. Sonora offers a wide selection of cocktails, with ingredients inspired by the flavors of the Amazon rainforest.With its prime location on the 24th floor of nhow Amsterdam RAI, Selva and Sonora offer a breathtaking city views, making it an ideal destination for tourists as well as local. Selva covers 700 square meters, with a total of 137 place settings for the restaurant and 45 seating in the cocktail bar. There is also a large function room available.

The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base. For this iconic social hub, we are looking for energetic, structured, and creative personality, who is ready to take part in a dynamic design hotel. What are you going to do? Guest Relations department is part of the Front Office team. Where the reception team would welcome guests to the hotel, check-in/out, and help with booking tours, the Guest Relation agents are taking extra care of our guests. Several examples are that you will be placing in-room amenities, meeting and talking to our VIPs, setting up surprises for guests in the rooms, writing hand-written welcome cards, and more. The team is also in charge of keeping a track and following up on the quality results. Several examples are that you would monitor guest reviews, surveys, answer guest reviews, and you would be keeping your hotel colleagues up to date with what's going on, and much more. The team is small but bubbly, creative, and international. Good to keep in mind that the shifts start either at 8, 10, or 13 and you will be sometimes working in weekends. A day in the life of a Guest Relations rock star 08:00 You arrive, in uniform, with a cup of coffee in the back office. You check the VIPs arriving that day, read the reports from yesterday, and plan the day 09:00 Prepare VIP amenities, cards, balloons, cakes, etc. 10:00 Catch up with the emails and guests' requests and get back to those 12:00 Enjoy your lunch with colleagues from other departments. 13:00 You support your reception colleagues at the reception and in the lobby by connecting with guests, helping with luggage, or check in/out 14:00 Help guests with recommendations for what to do and where to go in Amsterdam 14:45 Prepare the VIP cards for the following day, check the planning for the following day and handover to your colleague 16:00 Time to go home!
