We are looking for Graphic Designer to join the Octagon Professionals projects team at the European Space Agency (ESA) in Noordwijk (ESTEC). This role will support the Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration at ESA, with responsibilities in both Noordwijk, The Netherlands, and Cologne, Germany. The purpose of this service is to assist HRE-FS in defining, planning, and executing internal and external communication and outreach activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity and professionalism.

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by Octagon Professionals.

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

Create/design/procure 2D graphic and multimedia products for online, electronic, and printed media and social media formats. For example:

• artist impressions;
• infographics;
• spacecraft designs in illustrative mode, in vectorial drawing;
• layout of posters, stickers, banners, backdrops, roll-ups;
• layout of brochures, fact sheets, info-graphics;
• layout of media kits with interactive links pointing to online resources;
• design of logos and mission patches;
• animated GIF images.

Liaise with content providers, communication campaign leads, ESA Web graphic designer, any other entity as relevant.

Ensure quality and compliance with the ESA graphical chart for all produced outputs.

Support archiving of pictures with relevant keywords, tags, etc, within ESA Library.

Job requirements:

• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
• At least 4 years of relevant experience;
• Highly proficient in communication means and social media;
• Professional trainings in relevant subjects are an asset;
• Customer orientated;
• Teamwork attitude;
• Diplomatic and political sensibility;
• Understanding of international environments;
• Autonomy in delivery;
• Proactive attitude;
• Open to flexible working hours;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
