Selva, a new Latin American restaurant is to set open its doors this summer. Located on the 24th floor of the iconic design hotel nhow Amsterdam RAI, Selva is another name for the Amazon, "the lungs of the earth"
Inspired by nature and natural elements, the interior of the restaurant is inspired by the colors, textures and patterns of the Amazon rainforest. Selva is characterized by organic shapes that 'flow' through the restaurant and the rivers of the Amazon basin. With an abundance of plants and earthy tones, the place feels lavish and vibrant.
Selva's menu is a journey of discovery through the diverse and tasteful cuisines of Latin America, with dishes inspired by flavors from Mexico, Peru and Brazil, among others. Guests can expect a range of different dishes from ceviche to grilled meats and seafood. The open kitchen and the visible charcoal grill enriches the flavors of the dishes and creates a memorable dining experience.
In addition to Selva, the new cocktail bar will also open in the same room on the top floor of the hotel and is named as Sonora. Sonora offers a wide selection of cocktails, with ingredients inspired by the flavors of the Amazon rainforest.With its prime location on the 24th floor of nhow Amsterdam RAI, Selva and Sonora offer a breathtaking city views, making it an ideal destination for tourists as well as local. Selva covers 700 square meters, with a total of 137 place settings for the restaurant and 45 seating in the cocktail bar. There is also a large function room available.

Are you the F&B Administrator with a passion for food, drinks, and hospitality, and who enjoys the vibrant atmospheres of nhow Amsterdam RAI, ‘the cultures hub'? social hub. design hotel. the place to be. nhow Amsterdam RAI is a social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is located in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base. Our F&B department is large and vibrant. It consists of our roof-top Latin American Selva restaurant and Sonora cocktail bar, a large breakfast operation, serving of up to 700 covers a day, banqueting operation in one of the 10 meeting rooms, the Moana bar, the Room Service, the store, handling all daily deliveries into the hotel, and the staff canteen. The scope of this position is to work behind the scenes and support the F&B Director in managing back of house operations of the food & beverage department such as profitability reporting, cost analysis, stock take managements, new employee admin, and much more.
Job Requirements
What are you going to do?
- Daily reconciliation of F&B financial transactions;
- Manage all administration related to new F&B colleagues incl. onboarding, IT systems set-up, payroll, etc.;
- Actively involved in monthly inventories, generating monthly stock reports, and following up on those;
- Following up with suppliers on invoices and reconciliations;
- Coordinating equipment rentals with external suppliers;
- Managing the POS system for each of the outlets;
- Working on menu design for the different outlets;
- Follow up on guest surveys;
- Helping team in the follow ups on F&B group reservations with clients
