We are looking for Communication Planning and Coordination Support to join the Octagon Professionals projects team at the European Space Agency (ESA) in Noordwijk (ESTEC). This role will support the Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration at ESA, with responsibilities in both Noordwijk, The Netherlands, and Cologne, Germany. The purpose of this service is to assist HRE-FS in defining, planning, and executing internal and external communication and outreach activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity and professionalism.

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:
- Maintain the annual HRE communication plan.
- Support the HRE Communication Board to perform an annual review of communication inputs from individual HRE groups, including in-year follow-up meetings on a quarterly basis.
- Support a (bi-)weekly HRE Editorial Board meeting, reviewing and planning communication actions and activities.
- Document and maintain a comprehensive calendar of the HRE related communication initiatives and activities, covering all HRE related communication events (e.g. PR events, exhibitions, media appearances & requests, etc.), printed, digital and online publications (e.g. news, stories, video's, images on the ESA Web Portal and other ESA/HRE communication websites, ESA Intranet, social media channels etc.,brochures), promotional items, educational giveaways, contests and challenges, tours of HRE facilities, and corresponding briefs and plans for the communication events/campaigns and an associated repository of briefs and plans.
- Monitor evidence-based performance analysis of ESA's communication channels and analyse and report the impact and benefits of the output of the Communication and outreach support service for HRE.
- Coordinate production of videos, graphics and animations as needed for all Work Packages and activities in this Communication and outreach support service for HRE, including support in the procurement processes as needed.
- Create a network of information flow with HRE groups and teams to ensure a constant intake of information regarding the status of the different programs and activities and specific coordination efforts of individual missions and projects as appropriate and planned.
Job Requirements:
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
- At least 4 years of relevant experience;
- Highly proficient in communication means and social media;
- Professional trainings in relevant subjects are an asset;
- Customer orientated;
- Teamwork attitude;
- Diplomatic and political sensibility;
- Understanding of international environments;
- Autonomy in delivery;
- Proactive attitude;
- Open to flexible working hours;
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
