About the vacancy:

As Category Manager MHE, you are part of the NewCold Development Procurement team. You are leading the procurement process (strategically and tactical) of all material handling equipment for all projects globally.

In this role you will work closely together with the project directors, project engineering leads and MHE engineering leads. Furthermore, you will interface to the supporting functions such as legal, project controls, finance/treasury, insurances and quality.

What will you do?

As the Category Manager MHE you will be responsible for:

• Development of Category Strategies (main category per sub-categories).
• Driving the alignment process of the development of Category Strategies.
• Development of the project procurement plan following the category strategies and project requirements.
• Facilitating the alignment process of the final project procurement plan with the relevant stakeholders (e.g. project director, project lead engineers, MHE lead engineers) and NewCold leadership.
• Driving the RFQ-process from RFI/RFQ-development up to selection.
• Contract development together with the project teams, MHE engineering team and the relevant supporting functions.
• Development of global frameworks agreements with the key suppliers.
• Facilitating supplier performance reviews and agreeing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage escalations and contractual issues.
  
  

As the Category Manager MHE you will be accountable for:

• Maximizing Category Strategies (spend-coverage).
• Delivering aligned Project Procurement Plans in-time.
• Ensuring adherence to the Project Procurement Plan from formalization to decision and award.
• Expediting the relevant input required to develop the RFQ in a structured way, with support of the project teams and the supporting functions, adhering to the Project Procurement Plan and report/escalate potential risks to schedule and/or costs.
• Representing procurement (commercial) participating in the selection process, together with the relevant stakeholders (project, MHE team and supporting functions).
• Leading commercial contract negotiations and supporting the legal negotiations.
• Leading contract development, with the support of the project teams, MHE team and the supporting functions.
• Maximizing the development of framework agreements (spend-coverage).

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a procurement professional with a great sense of interpersonal skills and a "think yes" mentality. As part of the NewCold community you are able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and play an active role in the further development of the procurement function within the NewCold organization.

• Graduate Bachelor/Master
• Affinity and experience in logistic material handling (conveyors, cranes, monorails, robotics, AGV/AMR, automation)
• Convincing record of professional experience with procurement (e.g. category strategy development, project procurement plan development, RFI/RFQ-process, contracting and supplier performance measurement)
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Knowledge of and experience in an international project organization
• Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment
• Highly proficient in English, any other European language is a plus
