Selva, a new Latin American restaurant is to set open its doors this summer. Located on the 24th floor of the iconic design hotel nhow Amsterdam RAI, Selva is another name for the Amazon, "the lungs of the earth"
Inspired by nature and natural elements, the interior of the restaurant is inspired by the colors, textures and patterns of the Amazon rainforest. Selva is characterized by organic shapes that 'flow' through the restaurant and the rivers of the Amazon basin. With an abundance of plants and earthy tones, the place feels lavish and vibrant.
Selva's menu is a journey of discovery through the diverse and tasteful cuisines of Latin America, with dishes inspired by flavors from Mexico, Peru and Brazil, among others. Guests can expect a range of different dishes from ceviche to grilled meats and seafood. The open kitchen and the visible charcoal grill enriches the flavors of the dishes and creates a memorable dining experience.
In addition to Selva, the new cocktail bar will also open in the same room on the top floor of the hotel and is named as Sonora. Sonora offers a wide selection of cocktails, with ingredients inspired by the flavors of the Amazon rainforest.With its prime location on the 24th floor of nhow Amsterdam RAI, Selva and Sonora offer a breathtaking city views, making it an ideal destination for tourists as well as local. Selva covers 700 square meters, with a total of 137 place settings for the restaurant and 45 seating in the cocktail bar. There is also a large function room available.

The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is located in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarter and home base.
For this iconic social hub, we are looking an enthusiastic colleague for our Food & Beverage department, with a magnetic personality, and who is ready to take part in this young, dynamic, and fun design hotel. The breakfast operates in a form of a buffet and is located on 17th floor. The team is international and you will be involved in all the aspects of the morning service. The breakfast operates between 7-10.30/ 12 on weekend. The Shifts start at early at 6.30 and finish around 14.30. Keep in mind, this job is also suitable if you prefer to work part-time.
Job Requirements
A day in the life of a Breakfast Host:
06:15 You arrive, with a cup of coffee, at the Food and Beverage office for the handover with the morning shift supervisor.06:30 Start with the set up of coffee machines, preparing restaurant for service and doing the mise en place.07:00 Last check that everything is clear and ready and the restaurant can open its doors. From this moment, you may be also helping guests ordering room service.09:00 The peak of the service is starting and you are busy with clearing and re-setting tables, refilling coffee/ tea stations, serving room service and chatting with guests. 11:00 This is the time for lunch with your colleagues in our cantine where a fresh lunch is prepared by our chefs.12:00 You clear up the restaurant and prepare for the following day. All is to be refilled, clean, and ready to go for the following day.14:30 You enjoy your last coffee/ tea and wait for your team to leave home together.
