Job Description
What your journey at Krasnapolsky will look like day-to-dayWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager who will assist the Maintenance Manager that our hotel's maintenance planning and programs are executed smoothly. You will be responsible for ensuring that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority. Most importantly you will manage in absence of the Maintenance Manager the management and assurance of safety aspects within the hotel for our guests and employees.Your main tasks:
  • Making sure that the day to day activities of maintenance are executed smoothly;
  • Motivate and enthuse team members to get the best out of themselves;
  • Drawing up work schedules, assigning work, giving instructions on and the method of approach where necessary;
  • Solving malfunctions, carrying out repairs and maintenance on installations, energy supplies, sanitary facilities, and lighting;
  • Manage maintenance contacts with external companies regarding malfunctions in lifts, air conditioning, cooling and sprinkler installations;
  • Periodic inspections, checks and maintenance/cleaning work on equipment, and the renovation;
  • Monitor compliance with the regulations in the field of safety, working conditions, HACCP and work and presentation methods;
  • Calling in outside firms for troubleshooting and repairs to lifts, air conditioning, refrigeration, sprinkler system, etc;
  • Assist in planning and managing all preventative maintenance work, new projects, extensions, and renovations.
  • Assist in managing and leading the technical department;
  • Execute and coordinate proposals, projects and quotations.

Job Requirements
What we wish you will bring with you
  • Completed technical education;
  • Service oriented and technically skilled with a focus on quality;
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience within a technical department preferably within a 5-star hotel;
  • Experience in maintenance and management in the hospitality/retail industry;
  • Work under pressure is easy for you. Keeping your head cool and find the right solutions even in the most demanding situations;
  • As a technically-minded individual, you have a fast understanding of various installations and maintenance work;
  • You are a practical problem solver with a can-do attitude and you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get to work;
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in the English language, Dutch is a plus.
