As an Application Engineer SAP, you will focus on the renewal, maintenance, and management of SAP ERP-based applications, specifically supporting production and quality processes. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the SAP application portfolio aligns optimally with the functional requirements of the users. You will identify user requirements, incorporate these into functional and technical designs, and realize and implement the proposed solutions.

Your professional knowledge and vision make you a key discussion partner in business process renewal. You excel at translating customer and process needs into innovative designs and configurations within the established application architecture. Additionally, you will collaborate with your colleagues to contribute to the development of working methods within the team.

• Resolve incidents related to dysfunctional functionalities (e.g., printers not printing correctly, barcode scanners failing to read codes or process transactions into SAP, IDocs not being processed correctly). You will work based on SLAs to resolve incidents within the specified timeframes per category.
• Run and extend archive jobs, clean tables, and investigate the introduction of new SAP functionalities to prevent incidents or replace custom solutions with standard ones.
• Provide user support, including responding to various user queries, offering advice on change requests, performing routine tasks like rescheduling jobs or extending selection criteria in jobs. 

• Initiate changes driven by the business to extend or modify existing functionalities. These changes are discussed based on urgency and feasibility in the Change Advisory Board, which includes a business representative and a team lead.
• Conduct impact analyses to propose solutions, estimate realisation costs, determine feasibility with standard SAP customisation, identify development needs, clarify requirements, and estimate deployment costs. Summarise findings for the team lead to discuss further.

• Participate in projects initiated by the Program Board, typically multi-year projects (2 to 5 years) that usually last more than six months. Projects include a project leader, scope, planning, resources, governance, etc.
• As an Application Engineer, your role in the project will be determined by the project lead. You may serve as the primary contact for all IT-related matters, acting as a bridge between IT and project stakeholders.

• 0-5 years of experience with SAP ECC or S/4 HANA, SD and preferably familiar with ABAP;
• Bachelor or Master degree in IT, Technical Computing, Industrial Automation or similar;
• Fluent in English both written an verbally;
• Quality conscious, proactive and communicative. 

• 25 holidays and 12,75 ADV based on working 40 hours a week and having a contract of 36 hours a week;
• A salary up to 5.250 gross a month based on experience and 40 hours a week;
