Selva, a new Latin American restaurant is to set open its doors this summer. Located on the 24th floor of the iconic design hotel nhow Amsterdam RAI, Selva is another name for the Amazon, "the lungs of the earth"
Inspired by nature and natural elements, the interior of the restaurant is inspired by the colors, textures and patterns of the Amazon rainforest. Selva is characterized by organic shapes that 'flow' through the restaurant and the rivers of the Amazon basin. With an abundance of plants and earthy tones, the place feels lavish and vibrant.
Selva's menu is a journey of discovery through the diverse and tasteful cuisines of Latin America, with dishes inspired by flavors from Mexico, Peru and Brazil, among others. Guests can expect a range of different dishes from ceviche to grilled meats and seafood. The open kitchen and the visible charcoal grill enriches the flavors of the dishes and creates a memorable dining experience.
In addition to Selva, the new cocktail bar will also open in the same room on the top floor of the hotel and is named as Sonora. Sonora offers a wide selection of cocktails, with ingredients inspired by the flavors of the Amazon rainforest.With its prime location on the 24th floor of nhow Amsterdam RAI, Selva and Sonora offer a breathtaking city views, making it an ideal destination for tourists as well as local. Selva covers 700 square meters, with a total of 137 place settings for the restaurant and 45 seating in the cocktail bar. There is also a large function room available.

The impressive 91-metre-tall building is located in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarter and home base.
For this iconic social hub, we are looking an enthusiastic colleague for our Food & Beverage departemnt, with a magnetic personality, and who is ready to take part in this young, dynamic, and fun design hotel. In this role, you will work in different departments of this international hotel. In specific, this will be breakfast, room service, banqueting, bar, restaurant. You could choose if you prefer to work in the morning hours or if you prefer the evenings. This role is also very suitable to combine with study, family, and any other commitments on the part-time basis.
Job Requirements
A day in the life of a Food and Beverage Employee (when you work PM shift)
14:45 You arrive, with a cup of coffee, at the Food and Beverage office for the handover with the morning shift and evening supervisor.15:00 After the handover, you and your colleagues set up the restaurant and/or bar and prepare the dinner mise en place.16:00 If necessary, you support your colleague with the Meeting & Event breaks.17:00 Enjoy your dinner with your colleagues and recharge for another busy evening.18:00 The à la carte restaurant is open, and you seat the first guests.18:30 Together with your colleagues you will provide the perfect experience for the guests with your knowledge of food and wine.21:00 In between the service, you quickly deliver a room service to one of the regular guests.22:00 The restaurant is closed and while your colleagues are preparing everything for the following morning. You will support your colleague from the banqueting by setting up the meeting rooms for the following morning.23:45 The last round is done in the bar, and you are polishing the final glassware in the pantry.00:00 You enjoy a closing drink at the end of your shift with the team, while your colleague from the bar completes the final tasks, counts the cash register, and writes and sends the handover.
